Guide to Splash Guards
Splash Guards go by many names. They are sometimes called Aprons, Shields, Seals, Skirts, or our personal favorite, Liners. They serve a critical role for protecting your vehicle's engine bay, especially when driving in rough conditions.
This is what you don't want your liners to look like. The front splash shield on this Tundra is falling off, exposing the engine bay to all the mud, salt, and debris from the road.
Why Replace your Liners
Most vehicles use these flexible rubber guards to cover the gap between the frame of your truck and the body that acts a barrier between the road and your engine bay. Our liners are made of durable rubber that is resistant to chemicals, heat, & UV while also standing up to debris kicked up by your tires. These liners are especially critical to have if you drive off-road or live in an area with salt in the winter.
It is it important to have all four liners in place to protect the engine, alternator, battery, and other components from splashing water, mud, dirt, and rocks.
Liner/Splash Shield Location
All liners go in the front wheel well. The OG Liners are similar to the OEM design and include a "Front" and "Rear" for each wheel. The location determines if it goes in front of or behind the shock tower. PRO Liners are designed as a solid one-piece for each wheel well. PRO Liners include an engraved "R" or "L" to indicate which side of the vehicle, and an arrow that should point towards the front.
